The Power of Action

Why is it that people have such a hard time taking action? Maybe action is delayed due to the fear of failure, aversion of potentially wasting time, or simply being lazy. Personally, those are three reasons I didn't start this blog years ago.

I read extensive articles on entrepreneurship, happiness, and life in general every day. I'm addicted to gaining practical knowledge for use in my journey. Yet I chew over all this content, come to realizations, and never set this information free to it's rightful destination: the written word. The habit is like breathing in fresh air and never exhaling. A input without an output. I guess that's why English teachers have always promoted the dreaded "reading and writing" exercise!

This "all think, no action" trap seems to be a problem many young adults, let alone young treps (entrepreneurs), fall into every day. We repeatedly analyze, adjust, and obsess over thoughts paralyzing ourselves into a state of confusion and non-action. In reality, constantly trying to figure out the perfect path for your life creates the opposite of what you truly want.

"Screw it. Just do it!" as one of my entrepreneurial idols, Richard Branson, exclaims. Stop thinking. Live in the present moment and take action! There is never going to be a better time to start.

Move your journey forward and learn as you go because not acting is the greatest failure of all. If you keep thinking and not acting on your dreams you will never get there. START NOW!
